Roy Williams Tie Tracker: Georgia Tech
One thing all UNC fans have come to know, love and expect of Roy Williams is his fashionable selection of ties, most often courtesy of Chapel Hill outfitter Alexander Julian. The same man who put the argyle on the side of the basketball uniform is still turning heads with what he’s putting around Ol’ Roy’s neck. So, here at The Rafters we decided to pay homage to the best accesory in college hoops, if not the entire sporting world, and document every tie Roy Williams wears this season.
Although I can’t say the same about the team’s performance on Tuesday night, I did like Roy’s tie. A lot actually.
As you can see in the picture above, the tie featured some white and blue dots that didn’t quite cover the whole neck piece.
Here’s a better look at where the dots start on the tie and the contrasting dot colors. Also, notice the Tar Heel lapel pin. First time I think I’ve seen that all season. Must be to make up for the lack of Carolina blue in the outfit.
