It’s Got to be the Shoes: Mid-Season 2012-2013
So no, UNC basketball has not seen this particular pair of Converse Pro Leathers on the court in a long time, but it was the only way we felt we could mention them on the site without being completely obnoxious. This pair was worn by Michael Jordan during his tenure and went on the auction block recently after being autographed by the legend himself.
As for the 2012-2013 Carolina Tar Heels, we already went over a couple early season selections and what we hoped we’d see from the Boys this year. So far nothing has been way out of the ordinary. Dexter Strickland has worn a couple sneakers we wouldn’t have expected (the Nike Air Max Hyperaggressor comes to mind) and we haven’t even seen a UNC PE of the Jordan Melo M8 Advance on the court yet. For the most part players have stayed fairly consistent in what they’re wearing. But even the towel boys at the Dean Dome have been known to stunt.
