Preview: Boston College
It’s been a while since we’ve done one of these. What better time than now, after having a week to cleanse ourselves of some unpleasantness.
- All the BC talk going into the season was about their potential dark horse ability and, of course, the lone bright spot of the team last year, Olivier Hanlan. We’re going to go ahead and call him Oliver because trolling. Oliver is part of the recent surge of Canadian talent and hasn’t let the maple believers down yet. Oliver’s dropping 19 points a night, although his assist/turnover ratio and percentage stats aren’t that impressive.
- And that thing about BC being a dark horse? Well that hadn’t progressed as much as many thought as they are sitting with a 5-12 record. They do, however, have an ACC win, unlike another team we know.
- Nationally, UNC ranks 95th in pts (75.6), 11th in rebounds (41.6), 44th in assists (15.3) & 134th in FG percentage (.452).
- Boston College ranks 232nd in pts (70.1), 328th in rebounds (31.1), 201st in assists (12.7) & 167th in FG percentage (.447).
UNC stops the bleeding, and we’re going to stop the typing before we change our minds.
Prediction: UNC 68, BC 62
