Roy Williams Tie Tracker: Louisville, Hall of Fame Tip-Off Tournament

One thing all UNC fans have come to know, love and expect of Roy Williams is his fashionable selection of ties, most often courtesy of Chapel Hill outfitter Alexander Julian. The same man who put the argyle on the side of the basketball uniform is still turning heads with what he’s putting around Ol’ Roy’s neck. So, here at The Rafters we decided to pay homage to the best accessory in college hoops, if not the entire sporting world, and document every Roy Williams tie this season.

Oakland, W 84-61 – Light red tie, white pocket square and white shirt.

Holy Cross, W 62-54 – Light blue tie, white pocket square, white shirt and blue plaid grey dinner jacket.

Belmont, L 80-83 – Light blue tie with navy pattern, white pocket square, white shirt and pinstriped suit.

Richmond, W 82-71 – Blue tie with white pattern, blue and shirt stripped “Wall Street” shirt and white pocket square.

Louisville, W 93-84 – Royal blue paisley tie with white shirt and white pocket square.
